Blogger - modify hyperlink to open in new page.

Just add 'target="_blank"' attribute in the 'Edit Html' mode just after the href="URL of the story" in Blogger editor, the target URL will open in a new window.

for example:
original: a href="URL"
modified: a href="URL " target="_blank"

This is easy!

You can apply the same logic for images also.
